Welcome to Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines online reservation system for our troops and service units.  Outside Girl Scout troops, Non-Profit or Private Groups should contact helpdesk@nccoastalpines.org to reserve a property.

 To check site availability:

 

1) Select a site from the drop down menu in the “Category” field

2) Enter dates in the “Show Availability From” and “To” fields. Click “Go.”

3) Select a specific unit or All from the drop down menu in the “Filter by” field

4) View the available dates

5) Click on the available date you want to reserve to make a reservation

Alpine Tower 1-5pm

Alpine Tower

The Alpine Tower is a 50 ft climbing tower that multiple campers can climb simultaneously. All Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines Alpine Tower practices must be followed. Use of the Alpine Tower requires reservation and adherence to all Safety Activity Check Points guidelines regarding challenge courses. Girls must be 10 years or older to participate.  Participants 14 and older may be trained to be belayers. There must be an approved lead facilitator and at least one other trained facilitator for any tower events.  For larger groups, follow designated ratios.  Also available at the Alpine Tower is a program shelter with picnic tables, equipment storage shed and porta john.  Come climb the tower and enjoy the view from the highest point at Camp Mary Atkinson.

Girl Scout Brownies can participate in some archery activities if the equipment is designed for children of that grade level and body size. Participants must be old enough to understand safety procedures and handle equipment so as not to endanger themselves and others.  Safety Activity Checkpoints must be followed.  Ratio: 1 Instructor to every 10 girls.

Use of the swimming pool (NO diving allowed) at Camp Mary Atkinson requires adherence to all Safety Activity Check Points regarding water safety.  User group must provide certified lifeguard(s) and watchers. The lifeguards are at least 16 years old and have American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification or the equivalent. One Lifeguard must be present for every 10 swimmers.  Copies of certifications must be sent to the Raleigh Service Center four weeks prior to the use of the poolWeather permitting, the pool is open from May 15 – September 15.  The pool is not available for troop or group use during resident camp.

The Waterfront area has docks that can be used for canoeing and kayaking. The Waterfront area can be reserved only if someone with the group has small craft safety training in the appropriate watercraft. Copies of current certifications must be sumbitted to the Council office four weeks prior to your reservation. The following equipment is available included when reserving the waterfront.

Waterfront equipment:

15 Canoes (2 person) with paddles and life jackets
9 Kayaks (1 person) with paddles and life jackets
Waterfront 1-3pm
